Ever heard of the saying, “The best things in life are free”? Well, that saying can totally be used for Changi Airport where there are so many cool things you can do without having to spend a single cent.

Watch free movies at the all-day Movie Theatre

No, you are not dreaming and no this is not a hoax. Changi Airport has an actual movie theatre at the transit area. Situated in a cool and dark interior, this theatre is no doubt legit. Also, you can choose which terminal you want to watch movies at. You can do so at Terminal 3 or for the latest movie screenings on the Fox Movies Premium Channel, you can go to Terminal 2. Best part? No time limit and both theatres are open 24/7.

Play Playstation3s, Xbox 360s, and Wii for free

I felt excited just typing that out. At the Entertainment Deck, you’ll find Xbox 360s, Playstation 3s, a Xbox Kinect room, an MTV booth, and even a LAN cafe you can use for free! You really don’t need to be an avid gamer, the Xbox Kinect lets you play games like beach volleyball which is not only fun but helps you lose some weight too. This is located in the transit area in Terminal 2.

Get a complete Dior makeover and fragrance customization for free

Where my ladies at? Plane trips can leave you looking tired and not-so-fresh. Located at Terminal 3, you can get your make-up fix at Dior. Depending on the amount of time you have, you get to choose between a quick, simple makeover to make you look good before you get onto your flight or a full-on makeover that will make you look stunning even after you get off your flight.

After your makeover, you get a free fragrance consultation where through series of questions about your personality, they tell you which fragrance from Dior’s collection suits you best. After this session, you will be sure to get some attention from the good-looking air stewards.

Take a nap at the Snooze Lounge

Feeling tired from all the packing and/or travelling? Get some shut-eye at the Snooze Lounge at Terminal 3. With a cosy environment and comfortable leather chairs, it is a great place to relax and throw away your worries. You are bound to fall asleep in a few seconds so do remember to set an alarm to make sure you do not end up missing your flight.

Go for SK-II’s free magic ring test

This one is for both the men and the ladies. If you have some time on your hand to kill, why not check out the quality of your skin so that you can better take care of it when you are overseas? The Magic Ring will test your skin based on radiance, texture, firmness, wrinkle resilience and spot control, thus calculating its age.

This may be a little nerve-wracking but it’s always better to know now then when it’s too late. You will then be recommended procedures and skincare products you can use so that you can improve the quality of your skin. Located at terminal 3, this is worth a try!

Try the free massage chairs

If you are like me, where shopping equals killing your feet, these massage chairs are for you. Walking around the airport can be tiring, especially for your sole. Just get onto one of the massage chairs that are scattered all around the airport and you will experience heaven on earth. Your feet will be thankful to you as well.

Watch the latest sports events at the Xperience Zone

An Xperience like no other, avid sports fans can head over to Terminal 2 to catch the latest sports events on large screens. To make it better, you get to enjoy the events while resting on plush seats. If you get bored (which is highly unlikely) you can also try your hands at making an interactive e-postcard which you can send to your loved ones.

Go to the butterfly garden

With almost 1000 butterflies in a tropical butterfly habitat, you are bound to feel butterflies in your stomach (metaphorically). Located in Terminal 3, this is a great place to visit, especially for families. There is also a 6 metre grotto-waterfall that is a beautiful sight. Educational corners and individual enclosures also let you see the breeding and feeding of butterflies at close range.

The butterflies are likely to land on your shoulders or even your face so do be prepared. These butterflies are gentle and they mean no harm so there really is nothing to worry. Definitely an interesting experience!

Try your hands at woodblock rubbing

If your thinking is “what on earth is that?” then this is really something worth checking out. Located at Terminal 1,2 and 3, you can make your own woodblock prints with the paper and crayons provided at the woodblock rubbing station. To put it simply, you have to put your paper on the woodblock and rub on it with your crayons to create your own woodblock print. Sounds pretty interesting, you guys should check it out!

Get a slide thrill for free

Yes, you would have to pay for the full 12 metres to get a ride at the Singapore’s tallest slide but you can now get a preview of the speed by experiencing it at one and a half metres high. That is still pretty high up so it is guaranteed to still give you thrillseekers some excitement. Also, since it is free, you can go as many times as you want. Just make sure you don’t throw up afterwards. And there you have it! Be sure to go there early because there is just so much for you to do!
