Even non-Kpop lovers will know that Running Man is one of the most popular Korean variety shows ever, even resulting in a Chinese spin-off. The seven members are always hilariously in-sync with each other, both onscreen and off-screen. If you are a true Running Man fan, we bet that you will be doubling over in laughter when you recap these fun things that happened!
Ji Hyo is a terrible rapper.
There is a reason why she is called “Blank Jihyo”. She is always either sleeping or spacing out, so we weren’t expecting too much regarding her rap, but this hilarious mono-syllabic rap really takes the cake! Did she even try?
HaHa’s wife guested on Running Man before.
The best thing was, he wasn’t even notified about his wife’s appearance beforehand. His wife revealed his swearing habit with funny anecdotes like how he wrote her a birthday card full of swear words and ended off his well-wishes to her with another swear word.
Kwangsoo is gorgeous as a woman.
In the episode with Rain and f(x)’s Krystal, the members dressed up in drag. We have to admit that Kwangsoo might be even prettier than Jihyo.
Yoo Jae Suk is terrified of heights.
If you have ever seen the episode of him climbing a skyscraper, you will know this. Every second of his terrified facial expression was captured on camera and he was so scared that he was moaning and groaning!
Yoon Eun Hye is the ultimate weakness of Kim Jong-Kook.
You might think that Spartakook doesn’t have any weaknesses at all, but no. He automatically becomes shy and quiet once the members mention the actress (on purpose most of the time). Once, SBS’s official Twitter asked for Yoon Eun Hye to appear on Running Man and the tweet was retweeted over ten thousand times.
Lee Kwang Soo is really the ultimate betrayer.
Not just only to the one or two members who happen to be partnering him, but even to the entire Running Man team. We didn’t know whether to cry or laugh when he betrayed his entire team by choosing the grand prize over saving his team members.
Gary kissed Jihyo in front of the cameras.
That was the moment when all the Monday couple shippers went crazy. It was a game to try and see who would impress Jihyo the most, who was princess for the day. Needless to say, Jihyo could only laugh uncontrollably. Gary and his team won.
The members’ VJs are equally hilarious.
We now know why RM is so successful – besides a hilarious cast, they also have a hilarious production crew. Remember the haunted house episode when KJK’s VJ totally ditched him inside and left him the camera? Or when Jaesuk and his VJ tripped all over each other because they were so scared?
Lee Kwang Soo’s theme song.
Really. Just the song will make you laugh like siao whenever you hear it being played. Usually, it involves Kwangsoo being a very sad and pathetic (no offence intended) figure in the episode.
Here’s a simplified summary of the South Korea martial law that even a 5-year-old would understand:
