10 fun facts about Song Joong-ki, and it’s not about Running Man

Do you know Song Joong-ki? I bet most would, and probably from his role in the world famous Korean variety show Running Man, or his acting in the Korean drama Innocent Man, right? What do you know about this handsome, baby face actor? Here are 10 fun facts about Song Joong-ki that you probably didn’t know.

Smoking
This baby-faced, bright-eyed, mischievous man used to smoke in his college days. Thankfully, he has since stopped smoking to pay attention to his skin and teeth.

Ero Joong-ki
One of his nicknames is “Ero Joong-ki”. Why? Because it is said that this dear boy Joong-ki likes hugging people and just snuggling up to people close to him. Girls out there, prepared to be swooned.

Speed Skating
Do you know that in junior high school, Joong-ki used to be a short track speed skater? He is so good in speed skating that he has won awards in National Games and sports meets.

Triple
In this drama, Joong-ki plays a national speed skater. It isn’t surprising considering his background. Also, prior to acting, his parents sent him to drama schools and take up acting classes to improve his social skills. I guess that’s where he got his superb acting skills.

Forbidden to pursue acting
Although his parents sent him for drama and acting classes, they did not want him to become an actor. It was only till later when they saw his passion that they decide to give in and let him pursue his dreams.
