Almost everybody knows the hassle of taking the public transport in the morning; it’s peak period and there are too many people on one bus. There’s hardly space to move or air to breathe… But thank god for front seats in the bus. You know, these front seats:
Or even these seats:
Yeah you know, those exclusive seats. If you’re lucky, there’re only those single seats at the front. Here’s why you should sit at the front of the bus.
No one will disturb you
Usually, when there’s a lot of people on the bus, it’s hard to not be kicked by someone or have a bag hit you in the face. Because you’re usually higher than most people in the back seats.
No one will ask you to give up your seat for them
It’s natural for people to move to the rear and look for seats than to stop in front and ask you to give the seats up. Anyway, those aunties will have more chances of getting a seat if they stand in front of the yellow seats meant for them.
You have space to leave your bag
Those front seats are usually meant for a single person or a one adult one child. So if you sit there, you’ll have extra space for your bag. Also, those single front seats let you rest your arms on it.
You can sleep without worries
Also, because no one will disturb you or ask you to give up your seat. But it’s more so because you get to rest your arms and you won’t have to worry about falling asleep on someone else’s shoulder. Spare yourself the embarrassing moment.
You can secretly take a selfie
The bus driver can’t see you, and if you carefully maneuver your body, the people behind you won’t be able to see you raising your phone for a selfie. Spare yourself from the judging eyes of the aunties and uncles on the same bus.
You get a good view
If you sit at those front seats on the second floor of a double decker bus, you kind of get the best view ever. You see what is beside you like everyone else, but you also get to see what’s in front of you, aka, the driver’s view.
You get to pretend you’re driving the bus
I think many of us did it as kids, thinking that we might just want to drive a bus when we grow older. For older buses, there were hand rails you could hold on to and pretend to use that and steer in the direction the bus goes. Ah, memories.
You can secretly eat a sweet
Not that we’re asking you to do this, but we don’t need to ask to know that people do it. Sitting at the front of the new buses means that the driver can’t really see you and the cameras won’t catch you. But seriously, don’t do it. You wouldn’t want to take the risk.
