We’re all happy that Leo finally got his Oscar; The Reverent brought out the best in him. As for Ryan Reynolds, he’s nailed the best superhero role for his personality in Deadpool which we agree. Enthusiastically.
And while there are some haters out there for Batman v Superman, I personally loved the movie. Affleck and Cavill played well, and Amy Adams was not our usual helpless Lois Lane.
I wonder what’s up next when it comes to movies to anticipate in 2016? Aren’t you curious as well? Here’s my top ten picks for the most anticipated movies in 2016!
The Jungle Book
This adventure cum fantasy flick is directed by Jon Favreau and is a remake of the Disney classic cartoon. The characters are voiced by dynamites like Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Christopher Walken and Scarlett Johansson.
If that doesn’t pull you to the cinemas, the trailer should!
X-Men: Apocalypse
All Marvel fans are waiting for this showdown. It’s the 9th installment in the movie series. Imagine! We’ve also got James McAvoy back as Professor X. I wonder how the plot develops with the Apocalypse in the movie.
Captain America: Civil War
What would you do if you had to choose between your childhood friend and another good pal of yours from the present? It’s a tough call, and Steve Rogers is stuck with one tough decision to make.
Barbershop: The Next Cut
Ice Cube has always been a badass. We’ve seen his son act out his life story in Straight Outta Compton. He’s now back to save the barber shop and the neighborhood from gangstas.
The awesome cast list includes Nicki Minaj, Common and Cedric the Entertainer, as well as the gorgeous Regina Hall.
Meet the Blacks
If there’s one comedy you have to check out, it’s gotta be this movie. It’s a spoof on racial stereotyping with George Lopez and Mike Tyson. I mean, really, what’s not to like?
Especially when it’s a spoof of the Purge with 12 hours of crime in a hall pass right in LA!
Alice Through the Looking Glass
My favourite story book is now acted out yet again with Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. It’s riddled with yep, riddles and fantasy. I can’t wait!
The Conjuring 2
James Wan’s directing this horror movie, and we’re back with Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson exploring poltergeists.
Now You See Me 2
The Four Horsemen are back, and they’re doing an expose on a tech magnate. Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo and Woody Harrelson are back in the game, but Isla Fisher is not in the list (She was preggers so a new character replaces her).
Elvis & Nixon
Kevin Spacey and Michael Shannon star in this drama-comedy. It’s really, really good!
