Every man should pamper his girl, not only on Valentine’s Day or anniversaries. There shouldn’t be a special occasion for you to take the initiative to pamper your girl—you can pamper and surprise her every day if you want.

One of the ways to pamper her is to splurge on her—take her out to shop for new clothes and bags, buy her expensive flowers, stay in a suite for a staycation or even taking her out to Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen. Sounds high maintenance, but here’s why you should do it.

It gives her a sense of security
Splurging on her makes her feel secure that there is someone in the world who is still willing to spend time with her and spend money on her.

It affirms you still love her
Some girls have that mentality of “If you don’t buy me that bag, it means you don’t love me” which is pretty childish but pretty real. Splurging on her once in a while makes her feel loved—it’s a different way of showing her love which she will appreciate. Just make it clear that it’s once in a while, not every day.

It lets her know you can provide for her
Similar to giving her a sense of security, occasionally splurging on her makes her feel safe and at ease. She’ll know that you have the financial means to give her a good life—you’re husband material basically.

She deserves it
You may not want to admit it but you know she deserves it. Be it to take her stresses away from work, to apologise or to thank her for putting up with your shit, she definitely deserves it.

It keeps the relationship going
Materialistic, but it’s true. Spending on her once in a while makes things more refreshed. A special day out to shop is often more fun than just going to watch a movie, and it helps to keep things from going stale in the relationship. Of course, if the relationship no hope, then no point spending on her lah.
