Did you click on this link to verify if you have a poor sense of direction? Or you are here to laugh at people who do?
Whatever the reasons, read on to find out the 10 signs that you need a GPS (hopefully not in your life) wherever you go.
You cannot read maps
Maps are written in a foreign language. You know that they help others but they just confuse you. No amount of trying can help you to understand them. They are simply a mess of words and lines crossing one another out.
Everywhere looks the same
Do you feel that everywhere looks the same whether you are behind the wheels or not? For a person with poor sense of direction, it is so. Everywhere looks unlike your home and the only place you are vaguely familiar with is your home.
Getting lost in any car park
You need extra time to get out of any car park just because you cannot find the exit. You take pains to memorise where you need to turn but will end up turning at all the wrong corners.
You do not know any alternate way to your office
If there is a road closure on your regular route to office, you panic. You need to park at the road side and call for help because you have no idea how to drive to the office now.
Your friends and family know why you are calling them at the oddest hours
You call for help regularly, in fact every day. The greetings you get is “where are you now” instead of “hello” whenever they pick up your call because you need directions to the mall, directions to the dentist, and even directions to your parent’s house.
You only understand directions when they involve big landmarks
You cannot function if the directions given to you do not involve big landmarks. You need the landmarks to tell you where you are and where you need to go. Road names are foreign to you as well.
Road Signs are too difficult
You cannot drive and read road signs at the same time. It takes too much effort for you to comprehend road signs and that will jeopardise your driving. You need to listen to someone telling you where to turn.
You drive extremely slowly and take pride in it
Driving extremely slowly allows you to take time looking for the correct turn. You do not want to miss your turn, because you will not know how to compensate for the wrong turn if you miss it.
You think that getting lost is a way of life
Getting lost is a way of life for you because you are always lost. You do not think that there is anything wrong with that and you are probably proud of the number of times that you got yourself lost in your own city.
You cannot give directions to others
You freak out every time someone ask you for directions because you are unable to direct anyone to the correct place, even if the destination is familiar to you. You have problems with “left” and “right” as well as “around the corner” which disable you in giving directions to others.
Well, is that you that I am describing? If you are, go get yourself a GPS if you have not! It will definitely make improvement to your life!
