Here are some common things you do that makes you unhappy, just that you don’t know it. Take a look at them, go “Walao I never knew sia”, and CHANGE!

The “TSK”
Have you ever feel like shoving people when you’re in the MRT? Do you hate it when the person infront thinks it’s their grandfather road so they stroll when you really just want to slap them? Well, all these pent up anger is not good for you, so next time, just say “excuse me” instead of “TSK” – the latter might anger other people too!

A boring work desk
Are you sick of your work place? Are you sick of studying? We know that work and school commitments can be monotonous and boring. But before you descend into an existential crisis, try sprucing up your office! Decorate your study table with little trinkets, a photo of your loved ones to remind yourself that there are things worth looking forward!

One word replies
How many times did you answer your loved ones with a grunt, or a shrug of shoulders after a tiring day? These little actions might hurt other people, and at the same time, you don’t feel the connection and interaction with them.

Swearing
You may think that by abusing the infamous four letter F word can reduce your anger, but scientists have shown that saying the F word does not actually release anger, and may annoy you more instead! Swearing makes you think about the unhappiness as you verbalise your feelings, so stop saying “Fish you”!

Thinking about yesterday
Often times, embarrassing moments or unpleasant moments get stuck in our minds and we keep reliving them because we hate ourselves for being so stupid at the point of time. Stop thinking about them, and instead think “Well, that was a lesson to learn”!

Thinking too much into tomorrow
Paranoid people often are very jumpy and anxious, because they fear what might happen to them in the future. Remember, LIVE IN THE NOW! Because #YOLO #SWAG #HASHTAG

Being too glued to our phones
Being too attached to our phones reduces our observation of the world around us. There are many things to appreciate! Nature and people around us are great sources of inspiration, just that we need to be better acquainted to realise. Phones can be distracting; it’s just a piece of electric!

Being too frugal
Saving for a rainy day is a good habit, but every once in a while, LET LOOSE! Go spend it on a quick getaway, a manicure, a new suit! For those who watch Parks and Recreation…TREAT YO’SELF! Caring for yourself uplifts your spirits! Just don’t burn a hole in your wallet.

Tabao-ing
When we don’t have time to cook or when there is no food for us, ta-baoing from the nearest cai-png store may seem to solve the trick, but eating food from a packet, alone at home is actually a pretty dull way to spend your night.

Putting off exercise
“Tomorrow”, you say, because you’re too lazy to get off the sofa. Not exercising makes you inactive and unfit, and overall perception of your body dips! Exercise more as exercising release endorphins, which are happy hormones!
