In honour of the Year of the Dragon, Neo Garden Catering launched a 1,088m long Celestial Dragon Yusheng platter.

A million dollars.

This 1000-metre-long platter costs $1,088,888 before tax.

After including GST, this dragon yu sheng amounts to $1,186,887.90.

Given that yu shengs are never this big or expensive, amused netizens were quick to comment on it, with one saying “the dragon better fly down from the sky and breathe fire for one minute”.

But for real, I’d like to see a 1km-long yu sheng.

How long would it take to make? How many tables would they need? How many people would it feed? Someone please order it and post it online for me to see.

Neo Garden Catering also offers smaller variations of their Celestial Dragon Yusheng such as the 8m-long Fortune Dragon Yusheng and 78m-long Longevity Dragon Yusheng at $3,888 and $58,888 respectively.

They also have a $48.80 yu sheng platter that serves six to eight people.
