Do people still café hop? It’s been a couple of years since the trend first took off, and it feels like the hype has been steadily dying ever since. Well, we’re here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be this way. It is still fun to run around looking for cool and awesome cafes, and we have 10 of the most unique ones here for you to plan your next café visit.
1. Hungry Heroes
Everything is super for this café. From the décor to the food and the atmosphere, the café will not fail to disappoint.
The moment you step into the café, you’ll be amazed by the incredible amount of DC and Marvel memorabilia on the walls. There are plenty of pictures, models, props, you name it.
The food is nothing short of super as well, with items like giant meat platters, twice-cooked pork ribs, giant meat platters, huge burgers, and did I mention giant meat platters?

2. DC Superheroes Café @ MBS
If you hadn’t figured it out by now, I’ve got a thing for comic book superheroes. This one is mainly for the DC fans, though. It’s in the name.
The DC Café has the décor down in spades, with life-sized models of Superman and Batman, a full-sized batmobile, and it’s even split into 3 sections, Dining, Café, and Shopping.
Even their food has superhero themed designs!

3. Gudetama Café
This café is a little late to the party, having opened only recently. However, its appeal is undeniable. It’s Gudetama!
This cute little depressed egg yolk man has taken over the world by now, and you probably already know about this, right?
Everything here, including the food, has our favourite little egg man! Granted, the food there might be a little pricey but the generous portions are worth it! Perfect for sharing between you and your other halfs!Â

4. The Little Prince Creamery
Now for something more old-school and classic, with the Little Prince. This French classic story about a little prince (what did you expect?) on a tiny planet has a quaint charm of its own, and the café took heavy inspiration.
The elegant and simple designs and graphics on the walls has a really calming effect. The cafe is known for their ice cream selections and simple cafe fares that will leave you sated for the afternoon!Â

5. Settlers’ Café
Do you think you know board games? Try to name even a fraction of the board games available in this café!
Settlers’ Café opened its doors way back in 2003, and their collection of board games available for diners to play has only grown since.
(Psst. There are more than 300 here!)

6. The Lab SG
Fancy some experimentation? You’ll feel like a mad scientist here, but I guarantee you won’t end up killing yourself.
You actually get to mix your own drinks, if you want!
Their salt and pepper shakers are stored in dropper bottles, so even the simple act of adding some salt will make you feel like a scientist.

7. Oh My Tian
This entire café is Instagram-worthy, I swear. It’s got a carnival theme, and you could even dine in a small carousel!
They serve an excellent breakfast platter, and have a few fusion dishes as well.
But the star of the show here is definitely their desserts. They’ve got Jello Ramen! You’re not going to find this easily in Singapore.

10. Whale & Cloud
It’s very difficult to find this café. Which sounds really counter-intuitive, because why would you hide your business from your customers?
But it’s been working for them so far, as even getting to the café becomes an adventure.
They like to move around as well, and have weird opening times. You’ll actually have to track their Instagram account to find out if they’re even available!
