Everybody loves Chinese New Year.
Because at this time of the year, you’ll receive ang baos, you’ll have two days off from work and there’s plenty of stuff to snack on without feeling the guilt.
But.
If there’s ever one thing bad about Chinese New Year, it’s the fact that almost every shop’s closed.
If you’re from the 90s, you’ll understand what I’m talking about.
It’s your off day but the only place open is McDonald’s, the arcade and the cinema.
And when you want to buy anything, the shop might not even open.
Which is why the knowledge of FairPrice outlets still operating on Chinese New Year is going to soothe your worried minds.
110 FairPrice Outlets Across S’pore To Open on First Day of CNY 2019
FairPrice is the place to go to for everyday necessities that you need in Singapore.
So if you suddenly find yourself lacking something in your home on Chinese New Year, don’t hyperventilate and start searching for D.I.Y videos on Youtube.
Because they still have outlets open in Singapore.
110, to be exact.
If you think that’s impressive, they actually had more outlets opened in Singapore last year.
However, after monitoring traffic flow and patterns from the previous year, they decide to lower the ante a little bit this year.

Now, for those who need to squeeze in some last minute grocery shopping, a total of 121 stores will be opened till 5:00 p.m. on Chinese New Year’s Eve on 4 Feb 2019, though I think the queues would be crazy.

All FairPrice outlets in Singapore, except the one at MacPherson Mall, will open on the second day of Chinese New Year (6 Feb).
The MacPherson Mall outlet will resume business on 7 Feb 2019.
Extended Hours For All FairPrice Outlets From Now Until 3 Feb
Plus, that’s not all.
All 146 FairPrice stores in Singapore will also be extending their operating hours from 21 Jan onwards.
Some of the outlets will be open for 24 hours until 3 Feb, one day before Chinese New Year Eve.

Plus, Online Delivery Still a Go
The nearest FairPrice outlet a bit too far away for you?
That’s okay because online deliveries will still be available between 8 am and 6 pm during the Chinese New Year period.
Regular delivery, however, will only resume on 7 Feb 2019, the third day of Chinese New Year.
You can find out more about their outlet operating hours at their website here.
