For those of you who dabble in stocks, you’d wish that your stock prices increase like the number of new COVID-19 cases.

Another New Cluster Detected

A new cluster has surfaced at All Saints Home in Jurong East with ten cases. Nine of them are residents while one is a staff member.

It was added that all staff on the affected level has been tested.

This comes after a new cluster was detected on 13 Sep 2021 at Ren Ci nursing home, located in Bukit Batok. It currently has 29 COVID-19 cases.

As my handsome colleague writer said, the recently announced suspension of all in-person visits to residential care homes couldn’t have come at a better time.

Hospital Situation

Currently, there are 809 COVID-19 patients in the hospital.

75 of them require oxygen supplementation, 59 of whom are seniors above 60 years old.

Nine are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

As of 13 Sep 2021, our vaccination rate stands at 81% (completed the full regimen / receives at least two doses) and 84% (received at least one dose).

In case you missed it, the COVID-19 vaccination is very important; so important that the government is now getting seniors above 60 years old to sign up for their booster shots.
