Went Into Cardiac Arrest

On May 28, Furkhan Qureshi, a 16-year-old from the town of Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh, India, suffered a cardiac arrest. This was a result of playing PUBG for six hours. Straight.

His father, Harun Rashid Qureshi, said that his son started playing the game right after lunch, and continued to play it for six hours after. Just before he collapsed, he was very agitated and was shouting at other players.

His sister, Fiza Qureshi, was right next to him during the whole ordeal. She said that her brother was playing PUBG with some of his friends when suddenly he started shouting. Then, he threw his earphones and mobile and cried.

“Ayan I will not play with you. I lost the game because of you.”

Declared Dead

He was quickly taken to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead. According to a cardiologist at the hospital, Furkhan was brought in without a pulse.

They tried to revive him with an electric shock, and also injected him in an attempt to revive his heart. However, they failed.

They also pointed out that Furkhan had no previous records of any heart ailments.

The doctor said, “The excitement of the game might have caused a surge in adrenaline causing cardiac arrest. I appeal to the children to stay away from such games as excitement could cause cardiac arrest.”

Other PUBG Addictions

Furkhan is not the only case of a PUBG addiction gone wrong, though.
