The mind is a strange thing.
It can give you overwhelming pleasure one minute and destroy you the next.

One family in Taiwan learned this the hard way when their boy woke up from a coma.
19YO Boy Wakes Up From Coma, Sees Relatives Cheer For Him And Falls Back Into Another Coma
As the headline states, a 19-year-old boy had a horrific experience after he fell into another coma when he saw his relatives cheering for him.
According to Guanghua Daily, the boy was first hospitalised after blood vessels in his brain had ruptured. He then fell into a coma.
Fortunately, because he was still young, he woke up and was able to recover after just a day in the hospital.
Relative reaction
As you can imagine, his relatives were overwhelmed with happiness and rushed to the hospital to see him.
However, as the boy’s doctor told them, the hospital usually only allowed two visitors to enter the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at once.
But the boy’s relatives pleaded with the doctor, saying they had travelled a long way and wanted to celebrate with the boy.
So, the doctor, Dr. Jiang, assented.

Fell into another coma
Their happiness quickly turned to horror a few moments later.
When the boy’s relatives saw him awake and well on the bed, they cheered loudly with several cries of celebration.
Unfortunately, this caused the boy to be overexcited and his brain’s blood vessels ruptured again as a result.
Dr Jiang realized something was wrong and rushed into the room to monitor the boy’s blood pressure.
But it was too late, and the boy had fallen back into another coma.

Fortunately though, for the boy and his family, this story has a happy ending.
The boy managed to wake up and recover after a few days of rest and careful monitoring. I’m sure his relatives will be more careful the next time they visit him.
Dr Jiang has urged visitors in hospitals to be more aware of a patient’s condition, as they may be extremely sensitive to certain things.
So, if you’re visiting someone in the hospital, make sure to check with their doctor about their condition to avoid another horror story like this one.
