Now that the cinemas have officially opened, I’m sure many of you are dying to buy tickets and watch the newest movie either with your loved ones or your friends.
There’s just something about being able to sit down, relax, and watch a movie with friends in the cinema that is different from watching an old movie at home.
The ambience is just different.

And Cathay Cineplex knows that it’s been way too long since you’ve watched a movie in the cinema, so they’ve just launched a new promotion that will have you rushing down straight away.
But wait, not straight away. Yet.
Don’t Say Bojio: 1-for-1 Movie Ticket in Cathay Every Weekend for Aug 2020
For the whole of August, Cathay Cineplex is offering 1-for-1 movie tickets every weekend.

Granted, it’s just the weekend, but hey. The prices of movie tickets on the weekends are much more expensive, and plus, if you have school or work on weekdays, the weekends are the perfect time to watch a movie.
But with all good deals, there’s always a catch, am I right?
Well, the catch is that you would have to purchase the tickets using only a PAssion POSB Debit Card at the box office counters.
This promotion will not be valid if you purchase the tickets through online, mobile, kiosk, or corporate booking.
First 800 Redemptions
Please also note that this promotion will only be limited to the first 800 redemptions for each weekend, so if you would like to enjoy this promotion, I would suggest that you head down to buy your tickets early.

What Movie Should I Watch?

- Train to Busan: Peninsula
- Pee Nak 2
- That Girl in Pinafore
- Long Long Time Ago
- Long Long Time Ago 2
- Intruder
If you’re still unsure, we have also compiled a list of movies that you should look out for this year that you can take a look at.
Will It Be Safe?
If you want to watch a movie at the cinema but you’re afraid of being infected with COVID-19, don’t worry.
Safe distancing measures have been implemented to minimise the chances of an infection.
