2 Masseurs Allegedly Fought Over Customers In People’s Park Complex & Had to be Sent to Hospital

Business is competition. Competition is business.

Many struggle to survive, especially when their competitors are doing all they can to “steal” one’s business and lure customers over.

However, sometimes things are taken a step too far, and people can end up physically fighting over customers.

At a Chinatown shopping centre, two staff members of a massage parlour ended up injuring each other in a scuffle.

Here is what happened.

Two Massage Parlour Staff Fought Over Customers

According to a tip-off from a Shin Min reader, some drama brewed at People’s Park Complex in Chinatown.

On 8 October 2023, at around 6.56 p.m. in the evening, two men fought with each other and were injured.

The two men were staff working at the massage parlours in People’s Park Complex.

According to the tip-off, the ambulance arrived at around 7 p.m., and a man was seen carried out on a stretcher.

They had allegedly fought over a customer.

Indeed, times are hard. A customer is a customer and that could mean additional pocket money for the masseurs.

It’s difficult to earn money.

They Were Sent to the Hospital as a Result of the Altercation

Both men were sent to the hospital due to the fight.

According to a shopkeeper in the mall, who spoke to Shin Min reporters, the fight occurred between a younger man and an older man.

The older man appeared to be more seriously injured, as his temples were visibly bruised.

The younger man, in comparison, did not appear to be seriously injured anywhere.

We guess it pays to be young.

Or perhaps the two of them will get a staff discount when they go to their respective massage parlours for some traditional Chinese medicine therapy.

Speaking of being staff members, Shin Min also reported that one of the bosses of the massage parlours involved emphasised that both staff members were temporary staff members.

They would go and help different massage parlours as needed, depending on which shop needed more manpower.

In a bid to protect the business, the boss also strongly emphasised that the dispute was solely between the two men and had nothing to do with the massage parlour.

The boss also said that the matter has been left to the police to solve and declined to comment further.

That sure sounds scary. The area was already fraught with tension and competition as the masseurs tout and sell their services to you.

Now, you have to worry not just about the competition but also not to trigger a fight.
