Humans have come a long way.

Thousands of years ago, communicating a simple message to someone abroad would take a great deal of time and effort. Now, we can send a message to someone on the other side of the world in a second with a few taps of our thumbs.

Despite all the advancements we’ve made, however, we’re still animals. Intelligent humans with good manners and civility will suddenly regress to wild beasts when threatened. (Though I don’t know too many pandas who’d fight over seats at a fast food restaurant)

All it takes is one push, or in this instance, one chair.

2 Men Arrested After Fighting Over A&W Seats At Jewel Changi Airport

Two men, aged 43 and 55, were arrested on Sunday (Dec 8) for affray after a brawl broke out at Jewel Changi Airport.

Both men sustained minor injuries.

Lucky for you, someone recorded a video of the fast-food fracas which took place outside the A&W outlet at Jewel Changi and uploaded it to the Facebook page SG Kay Poh.

You know something’s wrong right away because there’s a dense gathering of Singaporeans but no new iPhones or bubble tea outlets in sight.

It’s hard to tell what led to this violent assembly of people, but two men appear to be fighting with each other at the centre of the circle, with everyone around them trying to stop the fight.

You have the man in a black hoodie, and the man with a blue backpack.

The two were kicking and punching each other. Bystanders around them were desperately trying to separate them but were unable to do so.

But then, Man in Black T-Shirt arrived.

Man in Black T-Shirt started throwing punches at Man with Blue Backpack, which, if nothing else, seem to put an end to his fight with Man in Black Hoodie.

The video ends with Man in Black Hoodie and Man with Blue Backpack cursing and giving each other death stares, while others tried to calm them down.

But what caused the fight?

Seats at A&W?

One Twitter user suspects that the two were fighting over seats, presumably at A&W.

It remains unclear if this was the actual cause of the fight. Police investigations are ongoing.

Now, I’ve not had A&W since the 90s, but is it really worth fighting over their seats?
