2 Men Arrested For Allegedly Selling Fake AirPods Online To Various People
Two men have been arrested by the police for allegedly cheating people into buying fake Apple AirPods, according to a news release by the police on 25 December.
A general rule of thumb, if the deal is too good to be true, it probably is.
Between the period of 21 December and 23 December, the police received multiple reports that victims were scammed into purchasing fake AirPods after they saw an advertisement on the internet.
Two men aged 19 and 23 were promptly arrested on Monday following investigations.
If they are found to be guilty of cheating, they can be jailed for up to 10 years and fined.
More investigations will be carried out but in the meantime..

The most foolproof way to ensure that you’re purchasing authentic and genuine items is to buy it from authorised dealers and shops which you can find here.
Also, be sure to only give your money to the seller after you have received the item.
“Bear in mind that the party that you are dealing with online is a stranger,” said the police. “Whenever possible, only pay upon your receipt of the item.”
