To show you how Singapore has changed, here’s an example: on 22 March 2020, which is exactly one month ago, we have 455 confirmed cases.
Fast forward, to today, and we’ve a total of 10,141 cases.
And as you probably know, the number of new cases nowadays are in 4-digit, so thankfully Singapore Pools outlets are closed if not we’d be seeing a cluster there.

1,016 New COVD-19 Cases in S’pore Today (22 Apr)
Of the 1,016 cases, 15 are Singaporeans or Singapore PRs.
This is a decrease from yesterday’s 20.
Yesterday, MOH said that the number of new cases in the community has decreased, from an average of 39 cases per day in the week before, to an average of 28 per day in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has decreased slightly, from an average of 21 cases per day in the week before, to an average of 20 per day in the past week.
But of course, you’d know by now that the Circuit Breaker period would still be extended to 1 June 2020.
The vast majority of today’s cases are work permit holders living in dormitories, and MOH will provide more details about them later tonight.

Circuit Breaker Extended & Bubble Tea Shops Closed
Unless you’ve been hibernating and just woken up today, you’d know that despite encouraging results based on local community cases, the Circuit Breaker period would still be extended until 1 June 2020.
In addition, new measures would be added which you can read all about here.
It’s called the “Strong National Push” as there has still been transmission in workplaces and an increasing number of unlinked cases in the community.

Dormitories would also be on a “lockdown” as essential workers have been housed in other accommodations.
