Childbirth is every woman’s biggest fear – or at least it’s one of my biggest fears. I would place it just above my fear of lizards.
Lizards are just fear-inducing creatures that stare right through your soul, almost as if like you owe its leader your firstborn child.
There are so many things that could go wrong during childbirth. But this was just straight out of Final Destination.

Accidentally Yanked Out
A 22-year-old woman died after her inverted uterus was accidentally yanked out instead of her placenta.
The victim, Alisa Tepikina from Russia, had just delivered her daughter prior to the incident. Her placenta, however, was not delivered along with her baby and the doctors were left with no choice but to remove it themselves.
She was left in excruciating pain, which resulted in her succumbing into a comatose state before dying from a cardiac arrest in the Russian town of Nizhneserginskaya.
Doctor Faces Up to Three Years in JailÂ
The alleged suspect, a 27-year-old female doctor, has yet to be convicted for causing the death of the now 22-year-old victim. In her defence, a head doctor from the hospital testified that the accused had not displayed ‘forceful actions’.
The head doctor also explained that the freak incident was a result of a rare medical event which was referred to as, spontaneous inversion of the uterus, which causes the uterus to turn inside out. Postpartum bleeding, abdominal pain, and low blood pressure are just some of the symptoms that the patient will experience.
However, medical experts rejected this. After extensive analysis, they said that it was the improper pulling of the umbilical cord that led to the inversion of the uterus. According to medical experts, “The female organs that were pulled out were pushed back when it was too late.”
Alisa only had time to smile at her newborn daughter.
According to reports, the baby, Anya, is now being raised by her grandmother and the victim’s husband.
