The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed that there are 127 cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection for 24 July 2021.
Of the 127 cases, 75 are linked to the Jurong Fishery Port cluster and five more is added to the KTV lounge cluster.
69 of the 127 cases are linked and have been quarantined while 29 more are linked and detected via surveillance.
29 cases are currently unlinked.
Residents & Workers in HDB Blocks in AMK & Clementi to Go through Compulsory COVID-19 Tests
Currently, eight cases have been detected in four households at block 456 AMK Avenue 10 while 12 cases have been detected in four households at block 340 Clementi Avenue 5.
These cases have all been linked to the Jurong Fishery Port cluster.
To quickly crackdown on the local transmission, MOH is conducting mandatory COVID-19 testing for all residents, as well as owners and staff of commercial units at the same block, in these two locations.
A pavilion will be set up at Block 460A AMK Avenue 10 from 25 July to 26 July 2021 between 9:00am and 4:00pm to conduct the testing.
Similarly, compulsory testing will be carried out at the void deck of 340 Clementi Avenue 5 on 25 July 2021 between 9:00am to 4:00pm.
Note that testing is optional for those who have tested negative for COVID-19 from 20 July onwards.
Residents are also advised to monitor their health and to seek treatment immediately if they feel unwell.
Voluntary testing for visitors and anybody who has been in contact with the residents of these locations between 9 July and 23 July 2021 is also available.

Two New Clusters Added; 26 Active Clusters Total
One of the new clusters is linked to an individual while the other is linked to Samy’s Curry Restaurant.
The two clusters currently have 4 and 8 cases linked to them, respectively.
There are currently 26 active clusters in total.
The Jurong Fishery Port cluster, along with its network of wet markets and food centres, has rapidly overtaken the KTV lounge cluster as the largest active cluster to date, with a shocking 741 total cases linked to it.
Samy’s Curry Restaurant is Closed for Deep Cleaning
Starting from 25 July to 8 August 2021, Samy’s Curry Restaurant on 25 Dempsey Road, one of the newest clusters will be closed to the public for deep cleaning purposes.
All restaurant workers have been placed under quarantine and they will be tested for the infection.
To potentially curb any community transmission, the MOH is offering free COVID-19 testing to people who have visited the restaurant between 19 July to 23 July 2021.

Visitors who have visited the Dempsey area are also asked to keep a close eye on their health, minimise any social interactions, and seek treatment immediately if they feel unwell.
Three Imported Cases
Out of the three imported cases of COVID-19, one was detected upon arrival in Singapore while the two others were detected during SHN or isolation.
490 Active Cases with 1 New Fatality
There are currently 490 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving.
Of the 490, 12 patients required oxygen supplementation and one is currently in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU).
The MOH pointed out that none of these 13 more severe cases of infection is fully vaccinated.
Nine seniors above 60 years old, who are either completely unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, have fallen very ill.
A single death due to COVID-19 has been reported by the ministry as well, bringing the total death count to 37.
The deceased was an 83-year-old female Singaporean who was not vaccinated and had a history of hypertension and hyperlipidaemia.
