Have you been enjoying the ridiculously cool weather over the past week?

Do you love the idea of layering your fashion, even in Singapore?

Well, if you’re nodding like demented rabbits to the two questions above, I’ve got some bad news for you.

The second half of September isn’t going to be as cool. Literally.

There Will be Less Rain in the 2nd Half of Sept & It’ll be Warmer

According to the weather experts of Singapore, the second half of September is going to be less wet compared to the first half.

It’ll be warmer too, with temperatures expected to range between 25°C and 33°C on most days, and even reach a high of 34°C on a few days.

On some nights, it could get humid with the temperature hitting around 28°C too.

At least you’ll have no problems with your laundry drying, eh?

Still Got Rain

Now, if you’re thinking that this means you can finally forget to stuff your umbrella in your bag with no consequences, think again.

Our best friend for the past two weeks, the monsoon rain band, is still hanging around.

This means that we can expect short-duration moderate to heavy thundery showers over parts of the island between the late morning and early afternoon on most days.

On one of two days, it might even extend into the evening.

There might also be widespread thundery showers with occasional gusty winds in the morning on a few days.

Nonetheless, they’re expecting Singapore to experience lesser rainfall compared to the first two weeks.

Not All Hopes Are Lost

Now, if you’re feeling down like Luffy after he realises that his story is coming to an end, don’t.

Previously, the weather experts have said that the first half of September is going to be hot and wet.

While they did get the wet part correct, the first two weeks isn’t exactly the role model you’ll want when it comes to pure hotness.

Not that we’re complaining, that is.

Outlook For The Next Four Days

According to a 4-day outlook we got from the weather.gov.sg website, it seems like you’ll need an umbrella for the next four days anyway.

On both Friday and Saturday, the weather experts are expecting late morning and early afternoon thundery showers.

On Sunday, it’ll be late morning and the entire afternoon’s.

And on Monday, you can likely travel to work safely, but the afternoon is another matter altogether.

In short, keep your umbrella in your bag.

Let’s just hope we don’t get another close shave like this:
