2nd Half of Nov Going to Rainy As Well Though Chances of Teh Tarik are Lower

Ladies and gentlemen, I’m no desperate hobo shouting doomsday on the streets of Singapore

But, yes, sadly, I’m here to shout about the end of sunny afternoons, Baywatch-worthy babes at Siloso Beach and what not. At least until the end of Nov.

Because according to the official weatherman of Singapore, the rain’s going to continue into the second part of November.

Heavy, Thundery Showers Expected

On 16 Nov, Singapore’s official weatherman, the Meteorological Services of Singapore (MSS) announced that rainy conditions will persist for the rest of the month.

Singaporeans can expect heavy thundery showers on 5 to 7 days, mostly in the afternoons.

So if you have to leave your office for lunch, well, it might be a good idea to pack an umbrella in your bag.

On some days, the shower spells could extend into the evenings as well.

MSS also said that Singaporeans should be prepared for widespread thundery showers with gusty winds in the morning on 3 to 4 days.

Expect Daily Temperatures To Be Between 24 and 34 degrees Celsius

Wear thin, breathable clothes though because, true to Singapore’s form, even though it’s going to rain, daily temperatures are still pretty high up there.

Temperatures will range from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius on most days.

Plus, be prepared for the daily maximum temperature to reach 34 degrees Celsius on a few warm days.

But There’s A Silver Lining

If you’re sick and tired of the rain that happened in the first two weeks of November, then this will be good news for you:

The rain forecasted in the second part of Nov is lesser than what we’ve been having for the first two weeks of this month.

In other words, chances of teh tarik outside BBDC would be lower, so you learner drivers won’t need to learn how to sail as well.

Here’s a tip for you guys who are always thinking if you need to make space for an umbrella.

Just check out the weatherman website.

They’re pretty accurate when it comes to these things.

And on the next four days from 18-21 Nov, it’s going to rain.

You’ll have:

  • Late morning and early afternoon thundery showers on 18 and 19 Nov
  • Morning thundery showers on 20 Nov
  • Afternoon thundery showers on 21 Nov

So now you have no excuse not to prepare umbrella liao. Because whether it’s going out for lunch or leaving office after work, you’re probably going to need an umbrella, especially if you work in an industrial area like Goody Feed’s office.

And if any of you are going outfield for mission exercises next week, well, all the best to you.

But hey, as MSS said, it’s thundery showers. Cat 1, maybe?
