Eyewitness Reports Suspicious Behaviour on MRT Trains

Previously, a woman informed Shin Min Daily News that she had observed a man repeatedly rubbing his crotch against women’s backsides on the MRT.

The woman encountered the man again on 13 May 2025. She saw him at Jurong East MRT station the day after the incident, loitering on the platform.

The eyewitness said that when no woman caught his interest, the man would board the train anyway, travel one stop, alight, and return to Jurong East MRT station.

The woman told Shin Min that she had seen the man behaving suspiciously in a similar situation six months ago.

He was allegedly seen standing very close to a woman, almost as if he were ‘clinging’ to her.

The eyewitness did not intervene at the time, as she was worried she would be accused of getting in between a legitimate couple. She realised that he and the woman were not together only after the man got off the train by himself.

Court Charges and Legal Consequences

The man will be charged today (9 June) with the offence of outrage of modesty.
