If you haven’t heard yet, Singapore had its lowest daily number of new Covid-19 cases reported yesterday, 6, since 5 Mar 2020.
Yes, we’re now officially entering pre-Circuit-Breaker levels.
Here’s the breakdown of the cases:

Community Case
The single case in the community, a Singaporean, was detected under the Ministry of Health (MOH) enhanced community testing where every individual, 13 years old and above, must undergo the swab test if they visit the doctor for acute respiratory infection (ARI).
Epidemiological investigations for the case is still a work in progress but all close contacts of the case have been identified and isolated.
The number of new cases in the community has increased from an average fewer than 1 case per day in the week before to one case per day over the past week.
The number of unlinked cases in the community, however, remains stable at fewer than 1 case per day.
Imported Cases
There were 4 imported cases reported, all of whom were placed on Stay-Home-Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore.
One of the cases is a Singaporean who returned to Singapore from India on 21 Sep.
Another two cases are work permit holders who arrived in Singapore from Indonesia on 21 Sep 2020.
The remaining case is a child, a short-term visit pass holder, who arrived from Indonesia on 25 Sep 2020.

Dormitory Cases
There was only 1 case reported from the dormitories yesterday.
The single case is a contact of an earlier-confirmed case and has already been placed on quarantine earlier.
So far, 83% of the new cases are linked to known cases/clusters or confirmed cases, which the remaining cases are still being investigated.
Overall Situation
On 3 Oct 2020, 28 Covid-19 cases in hospitals and community care facilities (CCFs) are discharged.

This brings the total number of recoveries to 57,562.
There are another 46 cases still hospitalised, with none in the intensive care unit.
There are also 165 Covid-19 cases being cared for at the CCFs.
With the discharge, the recovery rate of the coronavirus in Singapore now stands at 99.6%. (Total recovered divided by the total number of cases).
2 Places Added To MOH’s List
MOH has also added two new locations to the list of places visited by infectious Covid-19 cases.

- Barber Point at Rivervale Plaza (30 Sep / 4.35pm-5.10pm)
- 64+4 Food Court At 4A Loyang Lane (1 Oct / 8.30am-9am)
All close contacts have been identified and notified by the ministry.
If you’ve visited the areas on the list at around the same timeframe as the infectious Covid-19 cases, monitor your health for the next 14 days and see a doctor if you experience even the slightest symptoms.
You can check via MOH’s full list here or through your TraceTogether App (if you’ve updated it).
Don’t rush to avoid the place, though, because the National Environment Agency (NEA) will get in touch with the operators of identified locations to do a thorough cleaning and disinfection of the premises.
With that said, as long as we adhere to the Covid-19 rules put into place, chances are we’ll be writing more about how Singapore is visibly improving the Covid-19 situation here.
