4 Crazy Grab Services That You Probably Didn’t Know Other than Grab Hitch Which Failed

Okay, let’s face it. Grab has disappointed all of us when they announced that they are coming out with Grab Hitch, a car service that allows you to carpool across the causeway to Johor Bahru, then it turned out they couldn’t do it because it’s illegal.

But if you think that’s all there is to Grab, then you’re never more wrong. After the whole incident behind Grab Hitch, we couldn’t resist digging into Grab a bit more. And hey, if you have always been focused on Uber because of UberEats, you’ll love the crazy antics Grab has come up with.

Here are 4 crazy Grab services that you are missing out on other than GrabHitch which didn’t take off at all.

1. #Grab Durian

Durian lovers, rejoice because Grab understands our love for these pungent fruits and will be delivering 1,000 boxes of durians across 15 delivery vans scattered around the island. They are selling them at $15 per box and durians are on a first-come-first-served basis.

Don’t say we bojio, because it’s only available tomorrow (17 July 2016) from 2pm-9pm. So be sure to stick to your app and press the durian icon as fast as you can before it all gets sold out. Read more here.

2. Grab for Work

Bosses of SMEs or even bigger companies, if you do not have a fleet of cars to bring your sales personnel to their meetups with clients, you’re going to love this. Grab for Work is a completely free business solution for SMEs who requires their employees to travel around yet has no car for them.

Instead, the employee has to pay up front first before claiming from the company. With Grab for Work, the employee can charge the ride to corporate payment which will be paid for by the company.

3. Grab and Deliveroo Credits

This was another hidden surprise we knew we have to share with you. Do you call for delivery often? If you do, you’ll probably know about Deliveroo which has thousands of restaurant partners working together with them.

From now till 7 August 2016, Grab users get to earn free deliveroo credits when they travel with Grab (think of it as rebate or cashback) and earn up to $40 per week.

4. Grab and Lyft Integration

Okay, this is a bit far off. Literally. But we just had to put this in because it’s so darn cool. From now on, if you’re travelling to the US for any reason, know that you can now book rides for Lyft via your Grab app. Lyft is a transport company based in the US. You can read more here.
