41YO Man Admits He Had Sex With 15YO Stepdaughter At Carpark After School

Parents have a huge responsibility.

Raising children is definitely not an easy job and it gets even crazier once a child reaches adolescence.

I’d like to think step-parents have an even tougher time.

Having to not only bond with children from your new spouse but have them treat you with a respect that they would their blood parent.

But what you don’t do is begin sexual relations with your underage teen stepchild.

Man Has Sex With Underage Stepdaughter

This is honestly pretty disturbing to even write about.

According to The Straits Times, a 41-year-old man picked up his 15-year-old stepdaughter from school and drove the girl to a multistorey carpark.

And proceeded to have sex with her.

This obviously classes as penetration of a minor but the act was allegedly consensual.

Even more disturbing if you ask me. How did this even come to pass?

After School Tryst

This likely wasn’t the first time, either.

The victim asked her stepfather to pick her up after school on 25 January this year.

This happened after school around 12.30pm and the victim wanted to go home and rest before co-curricular activities at 3pm.

However, instead of taking her home to rest, the man picked the girl up and took her to a multistorey car park in Admiralty Drive.

After moving to the rear passenger seat with her, they started kissing and hugging which eventually led to unprotected sex.

Dude, she’s 15! What if she gets pregnant? 

In the first place weren’t you also married to her mother? This whole affair is insane.

Luckily, a police officer noticed the act and approached them, prompting them to stop.

The two eventually admitted to their actions after denying it several times.

Consequences

It hadn’t always been like this though.

While the man initially treated the victim as his stepdaughter, the two “gradually became closer and often texted each other”.

Eventually, the relationship turned sexual and the carpark incident was apparently the second time they had done the deed there.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Derek Ee argued for a jail term of three years.

The man was offered bail of S$15,000 and his mitigation and sentencing will take place on 23 December 2019.

Honestly? It doesn’t matter if the sex was done with consent.

Teens that age are young and impressionable and it’s a parents job to guide them down the right path.

Not use your stature as a step-parent for this.

Keep in mind that sex with a minor could lead the man to be jailed for up to 10 years.

I hope the man uses whatever punishment he gets to reflect.
