4YO Kid Forced To Have All 20 Baby Teeth Extracted After Parents Didn’t Realise They Were Rotting

I’m sure we all have thought about the future when we have kids.

We’d be afraid we don’t do a good enough job. Or if you already have kids now, you’re afraid you’re not doing good enough a job.

You look at certain memes of bad parenting and get scared occasionally that it’d be something you’d do.

But some more extreme ones like this are just plain hilarious.

After all, there’s a limit to how bad parenting can get.

For example, can you imagine a parent not realising that their kid’s teeth are rotten? Like, all of them?

Wait… what?

All of 4-Year-Old’s Baby Teeth in Thailand Were Rotten

All? Like, really? All?

Yes, all of the toddler’s 20 baby teeth were rotten, according to the dentist who recounted this horror story on his Facebook.

Some of the teeth were rotten so badly, they were left with only the root embedded into his gums.

Warning: Graphic Images Ahead.

You have been warned. No turning back now.

Looks pretty bad, right?

Well, it is as bad as it looks.

The dentist said that the decay was so serious that the nerves were in danger of being infected. This could cause his permanent teeth to be affected as well.

Left with no other choice, the dentist had to extract all 20 of his teeth.

Can you imagine losing all of your baby teeth at only 4 years old? I know people in their twenties who still have baby teeth.

And that’s not taking into account the pain of having 20 teeth extractions for a toddler.

Apparently, the dentist had to give the boy 14 anaesthetic injections.

After the extraction, he had to be given 18 stitches sewn. That’s no joke, man.

Being at a tender age of 4, the boy probably has to wait at least about 8 years before his permanent teeth start popping out.

Meanwhile, I’m assuming they can make dentures for the boy to cope for the time being.

You may read the dentist’s post here.

How did this happen?

Also, this begs the question: how did the parents let the boy’s teeth get to this state?

Apparently, the parents often placed the child in a nursery and neglected his oral health as a result.

This serves as a pretty stern warning to new parents: be sure to check up on your kid’s overall health regularly.

Being that young, they might not know if something is wrong and might not be able to communicate it to you too.

It’s a lot like having a puppy, but less cute.

Hopefully, the boy’s parents learn from this lesson and start paying more attention.
