Every now and then when Singaporeans plan of getting a short relaxing getaway or a local ‘holiday’ they would think of having a staycation in the fanciest and luxurious hotels. But if you have a budget or you’re just sick of hotel staycations, you might want to check out these five beautiful chalets because hotel staycations have become too mainstream anyway. Has anyone ever checked out pictures of the NSRCC chalet?
NSRCC bungalows
The NSRCC chalets, or should I say, bungalows, are the true definition of a resort. Built along the seafront of the East Coast, each bungalow comes with two cosy bedrooms, two shower rooms, a kitchen, and a private BBQ pit. What better way to enjoy a night of fun with BBQ food? Plus, the rooms are all fully air-conditioned!
I definitely would recommend the NSRCC chalets.
Treehouse Villas @ Changi
Managed by MINDEF/SAF, Treehouse Villas is a great idea for a staycation to relax and unwind or have a birthday party. Tucked away from the bustling city, you can enjoy a peaceful and tranquil night in this bungalow style villa. Each villa also comes with a beautiful outdoor bathtub for your leisure!
This is definitely another favourite!
D’Resort @ Downtown East
Gone were the days of having a chalet, BBQ-ing and scaring your friends with haunted chalet stories at the old Costa Sands Resort. They have opened up a new chalet—D’Resort at Downtown East, and it’s the first Singapore nature-inspired resort. This resort is beautifully designed with the idea of spending some quiet time with friends and enjoying a BBQ party at the same time.
HomeTeam NS Villas @ Bukit Batok
For the West-siders, fret not. There’s also an equally beautiful villa at Bukit Batok. The newly revamped Villas at HomeTeam NS also comprises of obstacle courses, rock climbing, flying fox, tennis and basketball courts for the adventurous so you can do all sorts of activities here if you’re feeling bored!
St John’s Island Holiday Bungalow
For island hoppers, this is a definite must-stay! You’d be able to swim in the lagoons and hope to spot some dolphins, enjoy a picnic on the beach or trek around and explore the island. Spending the night on an island sounds brilliant enough! On a separate note, do know that #1 and #2 are likely off the table unless you know someone serving the country.
So yes, if you really had to pick one, I would say go with the NSRCC chalet. Have a fun night with your loved one and friends!
