2017 is soon approaching and here we will go again, clearing out our calendars for the next go-to event that we definitely cannot miss out on for the coming year. However, the question begets – how do we know which event to look out for, and how do we know how many leaves/offs we should take in anticipation of this new event?

Well, to help you plan out your schedules better, we have taken the liberty to compile with 5 interesting events that will be occurring next year so that you can start to clear your calendars for them!

1. St. Jerome Laneway Festival (21st Jan 2017)

Only on 21st January 2017, you will get to enjoy the St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival that occurs every single year! Not only can you listen to good indie music, you can also indulge in the scenic view at MBS – killing two birds with one stone!

2. Baybeats Festival (June 2017)

Baybeats Festival is a 3-day alternative music festival that occurs at Esplanade! There, you can rave and dance to 3 full days of amazing tunes, and also give your fullest support to the indie-local musicians in Singapore! No better way to support our local talent than this, right?

3. Ultra Music Festival (June 2017)

The other music festival all clubbers will look forward to other than Zouk Out. And since Zouk Out will no longer be happening from next year onwards (we really hope not!), the Ultra Music Festival is another music event that you should definitely head to if you love EDM as much as we do!

Pssst: it will be a 2-day event taking place at the Bayfront and we are sure it’s going to be cool AF!

4. Singapore Food Festival (July 2017)

Foodies, here’s a heads up! If you are thinking of gong to a beach holiday in July or August next year, you can just forget about it because you’ll most likely be too stuffed from the Singapore Food Festival that’s happening in July next year!

What better way to celebrate our Multi-cultural heritage than this, right?

5. Singapore Night Festival (August 2017)

Oh, the night event which I look forward to every. single. year. Held at Singapore Arts Museum and National Museum of Singapore, this night even features magnificent light exhibits and dance performances in the night! It’s usually held across 2 weekends, and the crowd can be really insane for some of the exhibits – but definitely worth queuing for!
