Asia, being a developed continent have available platforms ready for people of all ages to showcase , learn and improve their talents.
One such talent is art and over the years, Singapore’s art community has flourished with the support from the government, schools, programme centres and of course, the close-knitted community that brought artists all over the small country together.
Art is diverse and can range from the forms of an artist’s documentation, opinion or creation. The broad and immense structure in art can be universal and have given the ability to connect many people either through criticism, appreciation and recognition.
In today’s growing community of local talents, we discover 5 local artists that specialise in mini artworks you may or may not have heard before but should definitely check out.
Miniature Asian Chef
Power artsy couple, Juliana and Marcus are bosses of a small business that they own with a passion. Armed with clay and a paintbrush, they focus their time in re-creating Singapore’s popular dishes into miniature clay products. Apart from decorative purposes, they came up with a range for you to incorporate these adorable items to your fashion apparels – you may purchase them as necklaces, cufflinks and earrings!

Although not available for sale, her items drew many envious supporters due to her realistic re-creations of foods, figures and sea creatures. With a witty caption and a sure-adorable clay creation, Liz is bound to attract many followers for her talented art.

Gemnesis
Specialising in adding her brilliant miniature food arts to keychains, necklaces and earrings, Cassandra, the owner of Gemnesis attracts (probably) sweet-tooths including me.
Her mini food mostly contains mouth-watering desserts including cakes, ice-cream and macarons which can be bought at her Etsy shop. Who wouldn’t like two slices of rainbow cakes dangling from their ears right? So cute!
