No New Wuhan Virus Cases in Singapore For 2 Days
Yesterday, MOH announced that there was no new Wuhan virus case in Singapore, which means Singapore has not seen a new case in two days.
Since Chinese New Year Eve, there has always been at least one case reported except on 25 January and 2 February.

Minister Told S’pore to Prepare for a ‘Long-Haul Battle’ With Wuhan Virus
Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing said during a speech that Singapore is preparing itself for a long-haul battle and Singaporeans should prepare themselves “psychologically, emotionally, economically and socially”.
He added, “Because we don’t know how long this situation will last, all the measures we take, be it in health, or economics and jobs… must be sustainable. We cannot just be taking measures for the short haul, thinking that it will blow over.”
In other words, this would be a long fight, so be prepared for it.

Hundreds of Death Fishes Washed on Pasir Ris Park; NParks Looking Into It
Yesterday morning, hundreds of dead fishes were found along a stretch of beach in Pasir Ris.
It’s unknown what caused the anomaly, though it’s speculated that the hot weather caused them to be washed ashore.
The fishes have since been disposed of, and NParks is investigating the incident.

524 People in S’pore Under Quarantine; More Than Half Under Home Quarantine

According to National Development Minister Lawrence Wong, 524 individuals in Singapore are served Quarantine Orders (QO). Out of these 524 people, 222 of them are quarantined in government facilities while the remaining 302 are quarantined at home.

Wuhan Virus Death Toll Now At 361, More Than The Death Toll for SARS in China in 2003
The Wuhan virus has proven to be deadlier than SARS – at least in China.
The death toll in China, as of yesterday, is 361. Back in 2003, SARS killed 349 people in China.
