If you love drinking and hate hangovers, these are the 5 simple drinks to cure that goddamn nasty hangover.

Water
You don’t really need a “magical” drink to cure your hangover, all you need will be plain water that can be found almost anywhere in the world. Drinking too much alcohol will actually make you dehydrated, you will need to drink lots of water to overcome it. Alcohol is a diuretic, which means it will make you urinate more. So when you pass out water in the toilet, you will need water back into your body.

Fruit juice
Your blood sugar levels will be relatively low after a night of drinking. Drinking fruit juice will help to replenish the sugar level in your body with natural sugars, replace some of the electrolytes you’ve lost and also giving you vitamins. Apple and cranberry juice would be the ideal choice as it is less acidic and will be nicer to your stomach.

Peppermint Tea
If you prefer something hot or warm for your stomach, a cup of peppermint tea would be best for you. Peppermint helps to relieve tension, bloating and other discomforts that you have in your stomach. The best part about peppermint is, it also speeds up the detoxification process, and you will definitely need this if you were intoxicated with alcohol the previous night.

Chamomile Tea
When you feel nausea and bloated, a cup of chamomile tea will be able to soothe your stomach. You can add honey to it, as honey contains fructose which will help you to replenish the sugar level in your body with natural sugars.

Coconut Water
Coconut water contains potassium, and it also has digested carbohydrates in electrolytes and sugar form. Compared to a sports drink, coconut water is less in sodium, lower in calories and contains more potassium. Potassium is the key nutrient for our body to feel better, coconut water is also very hydrating, it’s able to get you hydrated again after a night of alcohol consumption.

The fact is, there is no perfect cure for hangovers, the best cure to a hangover is to avoid one. Control your drinking and you’ll not be suffering the next day with headaches and nauseas. But if you had a crazy party just once in many years, you can try any of the 5 drinks above to cure your hangover.
