HDB Holdhouses Receiving GST Voucher Rebate This Month
Before you go, “GST vouchers? CASH?!”, hold your horses.
This is a rebate to offset your utilities bills, which is part of the Utilities-Save (U-Save) rebate to help households offset part of their utilities bills and lower their expenses. So unless you own your own HDB flat, you won’t even receive anything.
And if you own one, you should receive $60 to $100 worth of rebate this month, depending on how big your HDB is.

Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) to Malaysia Won’t be Enforced Until Further Notice
If you’re a driver, you probably know about the VEP, a permit for your vehicle that’s required to enter Malaysia.
It was supposed to be kicked in on 1 October 2019, but a spokesperson from Malaysia’s Ministry of Transport (MOT) said this: “No enforcement until further notice.”
So if you’ve yet to register, please do so now…because no one knows when the “further notice” will end.

honestbee Gets 4-Month Debt Extension; Ex-Employees Get Paid Portion Of Owed Salaries
The firm had filed for a six-month debt moratorium on 1 August.
The high court just granted honestbee a four-month debt moratorium to 31 January 2020. This is two months short of the six months extension that they had requested for.
The firm also said that it is already working on “feasible payment schedule” to pay back the $1 million in owed salaries to its ex-employees.
honestbee said on Monday evening that it was going to focus on its grocery business in Singapore, and also has plans to restore its regional businesses through partnerships and joint ventures.

Man Who Allegedly Flew Drone Near Padang During NDP Intends To Plead Guilty
Tan Jin Kang, 21, intends to plead guilty of unlawfully flying a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom drone along Raffles Avenue in front of the Singapore Flyer at around 8 pm on Aug 9.
The drone, which has been described as a “prohibited item” in court documents, is said to have gone up 10.8m for around 45 seconds.
It is unsure why Tan was flying the drone on that day.
If convicted of the offence, he can be jailed for up to a year and fined up to $20,000.

Everything About The Case Of The Missing Primary Schoolgirls Found In Same Mall Where They Went Missing
Two days ago, many Singaporeans were on a wide lookout for two 11-year-old primary school girls, who had reportedly gone missing for more than 24 hours on 30 September.
The two girls have since been found.
Approximately 31 hours after their disappearance, grassroots leader Mr Richard Kwok and his daughter found both girls at Seletar Mall on 1 October, at around 2.52 pm.
He also stayed with them and handed them over to the police when they arrived.
The reason for their running away is still unclear, as Mr Kwok preferred not to share it due to ongoing investigations.
