New Recording Of National Anthem To Mark 60th Anniversary of State Symbols
The National Anthem “Majulah Singapura” (meaning Onward Singapore) will be re-recorded to mark the 60th anniversary of Singapore’s national symbols.
The new version is a rendition by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Minister for Culture, Community, and Youth.
This will be the first update to the National Anthem since the current version was recorded in 2001.

Most Of The 275 cases Of HIV Reported From Jan To Oct This Year Were Men
According to government figures, male patients accounted for most of the new cases of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections this year.
There were 275 cases of HIV reported among Singaporeans and permanent residents from January to October this year, and of the 154 cases analysed in the first half of 2019, 95 per cent involved male patients.
Of these cases, 53 per cent were transmitted homosexually, 38 per cent heterosexually, and 7 per cent through bisexual transmission.
These cases were detected through types of screening such as general health screening or during medical checks for employment or insurance.

Government Seeking Public Feedback Ahead Of Budget 2020
The Government is seeking feedback from Singaporeans on a range of topics, such as how existing schemes to encourage families to offer mutual care and support can be improved and how United States-China trade tensions have affected internationalisation efforts by companies.
The public can offer their views and suggestions through booths and kiosks in areas such as Toa Payoh HDB Hub and more than 20 locations around the island.
The public can also provide views and suggestions at the Reach Budget 2020 microsite www.reach.gov.sg/budget2020 from Sunday (Dec 1).

Yong Yi Xiang Gets First Gold For Singapore In Wushu At 30th SEA Games
Wushu champion Yong Yi Xiang won Singapore’s first gold medal at the 30th SEA Games in the men’s changquan finals on Sunday (Dec 1).
Yong came in first with a score of 9.70. Malaysia’s Wong Weng Son totalled 9.68 for the silver and Vietnam’s Tran Xuan Hiep came in third.
“I’m very shocked and still a bit disbelief (to be Singapore’s first Games gold medalist. But I’m really very honoured and thankful for this opportunity”, Yong said.
