Bus Drives Into Road Divider Along Pasir Ris Drive 1
A Go-Ahead bus, service 3, drove over the road divider along Pasir Ris Drive 1 yesterday morning (10 November)
According to The Straits Times, the accident was caused by a mechanical malfunctioning. It is unclear how many passengers were onboard the bus at the time of the accident but no injuries were reported.
Both Go-Ahead and the police are investigating the incident.

Man Arrested For 2 Hit-and-Run Accidents, Also Charged With Drug Trafficking
A 37-year-old suspect was arrested over two hit-and-run accidents at two different locations.
He first hit a taxi along Geylang Bahru Road towards Bendemeer Road and later crashed into a parked car near Block 22 St George’s Road.
The police arrested him along Sing Joo Walk on Friday (Nov 8) where they found suspected controlled drugs on him.
He was later charged with drug trafficking.

DPM Heng: Support Package To ‘Cushion Impact’ Of Impending GST Hike To Be Announced In Budget 2020
In a speech at a People’s Action Party (PAP) convention, Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat said that a support package to cushion the impact of the impending Goods and Services Tax (GST) hike will be announced at the Budget next year.
DPM Heng said that the GST Voucher is a permanent scheme to help seniors and low-income households cope with the tax hike.
“At next year’s Budget, I will provide more details of the GST support package. This will cushion the impact of the increase, for all Singaporean households”, he said.
“More will be given to those with less because this is fair.”

Domestic Helpers Attend Workshop To Boost Crime Prevention Awareness
Around 320 maids attended the Domestic Guardian Watchgroup workshop organised by the Bedok Police Division on Sunday (Nov 10).
The workshop was aimed at equipping maids with knowledge and skills to create a safe and secure environment.
The helpers learned how to prevent common crimes such as housebreaking, trespass, and scams. They also learned about the consequences of dealing with loan sharks and how to protect themselves against unlicensed moneylenders.

Chan Chun Sing: CECA Does Not Grant Indian Nationals Unconditional Access Or Immigration Privileges
The Singapore-India Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) does not grant Indian nationals unconditional access into Singapore or immigration privileges, said Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing said on Saturday (9 Nov).
Mr Chan said that the claims that bilateral agreement has cost job opportunities for Singaporeans only aimed to stoke fears in times of economic uncertainties.
These claims included a belief that CECA has allowed Indian nationals to take PMET (professional, managerial, executive and technician) jobs away from Singaporeans.
The claims surfaced after Ramesh Erramalli, an Indian national, was recorded verbally abusing a security guard at his condominium.
