According to the Building Construction Authority (BCA) and Housing Development Board (HDB), the most common reason why windows fall out from houses is because of the lack of maintenance done by the homeowners.
Authorities have reminded all homeowners to check the condition of their windows every six months, and the failure to do so will cause the windows to fall out. If this happens, homeowners who are found guilty can be charged up to $10,000 and jailed for up to a year.
