A Singaporean man was arrested for killing and dismembering his wife and stepson in Melaka.

A grass-cutter came across the mutilated remains in bushes next to an industrial area. The man also showed police their severed heads, which he kept on the roof of his house.

$175m In GST And Penalties Recovered By Iras

On Sunday (Oct 13), The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (Iras) said it had recovered a total of $175 million in goods and services tax (GST) and penalties between January and September this year.

This came after audits and investigations of over 2,000 GST-related cases.

Iras had used data analytics to identify companies at risk of non-compliance and evasion, and conducted audits for those companies.

HDB Blocks In Nee Soon South And Chong Pang To Get Dementia-friendly Features

Housing blocks in Nee Soon South And Chong Pang will soon get dementia-friendly features in their area.

The blocks will be repainted in red, green, and blue from February next year, making it easier for dementia patients to find their way home.

There will also be infrastructural upgrades such as clearer signage and more resting places.

7 Molest Suspects To Be Charged; Outrage Of Modesty Cases On The Rise

Seven men will be charged in court on Monday (Oct 14) for outrage of modesty cases.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said that there has been an increasing trend in outrage of modesty cases.

The victims in the seven cases were women aged 20 to 40.

Dyson Pulls Out Of Electric Car Project

Last year, Dyson announced that it had picked Singapore to build its electric car plant. They also said that they were moving their corporate head office to the city-state.

However, just months after revealing details of patents, Dyson has pulled out of their electric car project.

James Dyson explained that he had to hit the brakes on the electric car launch because it was not “commercially viable”.
