Daily temperatures will range from 24°C to 33°C.

Treatment Involving Freezing Of Breast Cancer Said To Help Women Keep Breast Intact In Early Stage Cases

The treatment is a minimally invasive procedure called cryoablation which uses extreme temperatures from -40°C to -170°C to destroy diseased cells.

This treatment is available on a case-to-case basis, depending on the type and the stage of breast cancer.

This helps women to keep their breast intact because they do not need to remove their entire breast in order for the diseased cells to be gone.

Cardboard Collectors Don’t Have Enough For Coffee Because Of Falling Prices Of Scrap

Newspapers and cardboard used to be able to be sold for at least $0.20 and $0.10 per kg each respectively, but now, the prices have dropped to as low $0.14 for one kg of newspapers and $0.05 for one kg of cardboard.

This could be due to China’s ban on foreign garbage in January 2018. Many recycling companies reportedly only earned a profit of $0.01 per kg of used cardboards sold, and they have yet to factor in labour and transport costs.

Sadly, this is the truth for many cardboard collectors and karang guni (rag-and-bone) men in Singapore.

New Inter-generational Lifestyle Club Opened; Seniors & Younger Generation Can Bond Through Activities

Jade Circle Arena is a lifestyle club located within The Salvation Army Peacehaven Nursing Home in Changi.

There are two floors to the centre and there is a wading pool for the elderly to do hydrotherapy while kids can play in the water. There’s even an arcade area with a foosball machine, a basketball machine and even mini bowling.

There are also hand-cycling machines with a display screen placed in front of them to give off the impression that the users are outdoors.

Volunteers Try To Get Rid Of Batman Plant To Prevent It From Suffocating Natural Diversity Of Bukit Timah Forest

Volunteers of different ages from primary school children to older couples in their 60s got together to dig up the invasive weed, Dioscorea sansibarensis, also known as the Zanzibar yam.

They managed to dig out 900kg worth of the Batman plant, which is a herbaceous vine that has large underground tubers and wide bat-like leaves.

The operation was led by Bukit Timah Citizens’ Consultative Committee (CCC) and the Friends of Bukit Timah Forest, a group comprising of nature lovers, recreational users, schools, and residents.
