First Batch Of Food Delivery Riders Get LTA’s Approval To Trade-In E-scooters For New Vehicles

Around one in five Grab Food Delivery Riders and one in three eligible Food Panda riders have requested to trade-in their e-scooters and have since gotten a stamp of approval bt the Land Transport Authority (LTA) to do so.

These riders comprise of the first batch of Food Delivery Riders who can make use of the $7 million e-scooter Trade-in-Grant (eTG) that was set up by the Government and the three major food delivery companies in Singapore.

S’pore Exports Fall 9.6% In Q3

Singapore’s non-oil domestic exports (NODX) fell by 9.6% in the third quarter of this year after the 14.7% drop in the previous quarter. The data was provided by Enterprise Singapore showed on Thursday.

On the other hand, Singapore’s total merchandise trade fell by 6.7% on a year-on-year basis in the third quarter.

PM Lee: CPTPP Signals Support For Singapore, Mexican Businesses To Venture Overseas

The comprehensive and progressive agreement for trans-pacific partnership (CPTPP) which both Mexico and Singapore are part of signals to companies that their governments encourage and support their ventures into each others’ countries.

This was said by Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Wednesday done during his address to the Mexican Senate during an official visit to the country.

Hong Kong Restaurant Owner Banned From Singapore For Carrying Out Public Assembly Without Permit

A Hong Kong restaurant owner has been repatriated and banned from Singapore after he organised a public assembly without a permit. Mr Alex Yeung is not allowed to enter Singapore again unless he gets prior permission from the authorities.

He organised a gathering on 11 October “for interested persons to share their views on the current protests in Hong Kong”. Singapore Police Force (SPF) said that his passport has been impounded.

Researches Develop Game To Help S’pore Kids With ADHD; Trialed At IMH

The goal of this game is to move the character through the maze for as long as they can within ten minutes. According to a senior consultant at IMH, “This game is controlled by analysing the child’s brainwaves to detect their attention level. The higher their attention (or concentration), the faster the avatar moves.”

The game encourages concentration and is part of a pilot programme launched for 20 children aged six to 12 who are getting treated for ADHD at IMH.
