SPCA Condemns Cruel Live Crab Claw Machine At Punggol Seafood Restaurant

A seafood restaurant has been criticised by Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) for allowing customers to catch their own live crabs using a claw machine.

Customers will have to pay $5 to catch their own live Sri Lanken crabs for each try. SPCA has since made a report to Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) in the hopes that something will be done.

Driverless Cars Will Reduce Congestion & Road Deaths But Not Completely Eliminate It

Experts speaking t the 26th Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress in Singapore said that utonomous cars will not completely eliminate congestion and road deaths.

Communication around autonomous vehicles tend to “over-promise” and one of these promises are no more congestion or fatal accidents once driverless cars become a reality.

MFA: Singaporeans Advised To Postpone Non-essential Trips To Chile

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announced yesterday that Singaporeans should postpone non-essential travel to several cities in Chile.

This is due to protests that are already happening there. Antofagasta, Valparaiso, Valdivia, Chillan, Talca, Temuco, Punta Arenas and capital Santiago have been placed in a state of emergency and under a night curfew after riots broke out last Friday due to high cost of living and metro fare increase.

Driver Arrested For Allegedly Molesting NTU Student In Carpool Telegram Group

A driver has been arrested for allegedly molesting a student from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) while giving her a ride.

The man had allegedly offered the student a ride through a Telegram group but instead, he brought her to a secluded carpark and molested her.

A 25-year-old suspect, who’s allegedly not a student in NTU, was arrested for outrage of modesty after a report was made.

Some Condos In Singapore Ban Food Delivery Riders From Entering On PMDs

Three condominiums in Bishan and Sengkang have recently banned food delivery riders from entering the premises on personal mobility devices (PMDs).

Currently, devices have been banned since September at the void decks of HDBs under the 15 town councils run by the People’s Action Party.

Food delivery riders have to leave their PMDs outside before they can enter the condos to deliver the food.
