Woman Involved In Orchard Towers Murder Case Claims Trial To One Out Of Three Charges

23-year-old Natalie Siow Yu Chen told the judge that was going to claim trial to one of her three charges.

After her initial murder charge, it was reduced to an assault charge. She was later also slapped with two charges – one for consorting with a person who had an offensive weapon with him, and one for behaving in a disorderly manner.

She wanted to claim trial to consorting with Tan Sen Yang who allegedly had a kerambit knife.

Credit Card Data From Singapore Priced Higher Than Others On The Dark Web

According to research done by cybersecurity firm Group-IB, it was found that credit card data obtained from Singapore was priced much higher than that found in other countries.

This was highly due to the fact that it’s much more difficult to obtain this data in Singapore due to the stringent measures to protect them.

For Singapore cards, they are priced between $27 to $41. This is much higher than cards from the United States which are priced between $11 to $14.

Veteran Actor-Director Huang Yiliang Charged With Assault & Affray

58-year-old Ng Aik Leong, better known as Huang Yiliang, was charged in court with assault and affray after he allegedly assaulted two men on different occasions.

He allegedly used a metal scraper to hit Mr Jahidul on 11 December last year on the abdomen twice and on the back of his head once.

On a separate occasion on 9 June this year, he allegedly fought with Mr Morgana Raj Saravanan and was said to have hit him on the back of his head with a mobile phone.

State Courts Will Be Moving To New State Courts Tower Building Starting 9 December

The State Courts will be shifting to a newed building that is just right beside it and will begin full operations on 16 December.

The new State Courts Tower has 53 courtrooms and 54 hearing chambers. This is up from the previous 37 courtrooms and 40 hearing chambers in the current nine-storey building.

The new building is also said to have new technological features that will increase the efficiency of court proceedings and reduce legal costs.

Lower Pre-School Fees & More Childcare Centres Can Be Expected

The fee cap for centres under the government-funded partner operator scheme will be lowered so that more parents can pay lower pre-school fees. More centres may also come under this scheme so that more can benefit from it.

Partner operators can charge a maximum of $760 monthly for full-day childcare services, which is $40 lower than the current fee cap.

A maximum of $1,330 monthly will be charged for full-day infant care services, which is lower than the current fee cap.

Both fees are not inclusive of GST.
