Lui Tuck Yew Will Be Singapore’s Next Ambassador To China
Former transport minister Lui Tuck Yew is set to be Singapore’s new ambassador-designate to China. This was revealed in a Facebook post yesterday.
President Halimah Yacob revealed in the Facebook post that she presented a letter of credence to Mr Lui. Prior to this, he was Singapore’s Ambassador to Japan since June 2017.

50 Vending Machines That Recycle Used Drink Containers Will Be Made Available All Over Singapore By March 2020
One such vending machine is already made available in Our Tampines Hub, which takes in empty drink cans and plastic bottles. In return, it gives out discount vouchers.
For every four drink it receives, a discount voucher worth 20 cents which can be used at any FairPrice outlet will be given. This vending machine will be made available in various parts of Singapore by March 2020, according to NEA.

Youth Admits To Raping Drunk 15YO Student After Truth Or Dare Game
One of two youths who have been accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old student while she was inebriated pleaded guilty to a charge of rape on Thursday, 30 October.
The youth is 21-years-old and was 19-years-old when the offence took place back in 2017. He had sex with the girl without her consent at the foot of a Housing Board block in Pasir Ris.

New Link Road Between Pasir Ris And Punggol Towns Opens On 17 November
Residents who live in Pasir Ris and Punggol will be pleased to know that a new link road between Pasir Ris and Punggol will open at 3pm on 17 November.
According to the Land Transport Authority (LTA), this offers drivers an additional route to ease traffic on the Tampines Expressway (TPE). It is part of the expansion of the interchange between the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) and the TPE.
