Eunoia Junior College Start School At New Campus In Sin Ming Avenue
The students at Eunoia Junior College (EJC) began their new academic year with a 1km march from Bishan Active Park to their new campus in Sin Ming Avenue on Monday.
Around 1,000 staff, student and alumni joined at the last leg of the relay and walked at around 10am. They then converged at the JC’s field for a flag-raising ceremony to begin the new academic year.

PMDs and Fake News Law Are Some Of The Issues MPs Will raise In Parliament On Monday
MPs are trying to seek greater clarity on the problem of active mobility and personal mobility devices (PMDs). The four questions that have been filed had to do with cycling paths, footpaths, e-scooters, electric bicycles and food delivery riders.
Among these include if there will be a need to regulate electric bicycle use on roads and how many more kilometres of cycling paths will be built by the end of the year.

3-year-old Girl With Pneumonia Who Travelled To Wuhan Not Linked To China Outbreak
A few days ago, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced the first suspected case of the mystery Wuhan virus involving a three-year-old girl from China. She had had a travel history to Wuhan.
However, MOH wishes to clarify that the case is in fact, not linked to the pneumonia cluster in Wuhan. However, they will continue to monitor the situation closely.

Funeral Parlour Suspended & Will Be Charged After Cremating The Wrong Body
The company that wrongly cremated a body, Harmony Funeral Care will be banned from using government after-death facilities until it can prove that it has taken steps to ensure that the same mishap doesn’t occur again.
According to the National Environment Agency (NEA), investigations on the company found that it had put insufficient measures in place to make sure that the body was handled properly, resulting in the mistake.

Three New Senior Counsels Appointed
Three new Senior Counsels have been appointed in Singapore, comprising of a Member of Parliament (MP), a council member of the Law Society of Singapore and a public prosecutor.
Me Murali Pillai, Mr Jason Chan of Allen & Gledhill LLP, and Mr Mohamed Faizal Mohamed Abdul Kadir of the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC), were appointed as Senior Counsel.
