The Outram Community Hospital opened on 7 December and has an interior that resembles that of a public estate so as to help patients adapt when they return home.

The hospital’s facilities are also similar to the interiors of buses and trains so that patients know how to navigate their way on public transport when using a wheelchair.

Learners Must Complete Simulator Training Before Going For TP Test Starting 16 Dec

Before being able to book their Traffic Police (TP) Driving/Riding Test, learners will have to complete a simulator training that is made compulsory starting 16 December. The simulation features possible accidents and learners will learn how to react to them appropriately.

This helps the learners to better prepare for the different scenarios they may encounter when they are on the road after passing their TP test.

They will have to complete a minimum number of five practical lessons before they can book the simulator training.

Singapore & US Sign Agreement For RSAF Training Detachment In Guam

Singapore and the United States have signed an agreement for the Republic of Singapore Air Forces (RSAF) to set up a training detachment in Guam.

Guam has a vast airspace training which will allow the RSAF to hone their capabilites and ensure that they are ready for any situation.

Due to the airspace constraints in Singapore, the RSAF has to look to other countries for training opportunities. They also have training detachments in Australia and in France.

3 Right Lanes Of Robinson Road Will Be Closed On 8 Dec For Filming

Three right lanes of Robinson Road will be closed for filming done by Singapore-based production company Rolla.

The online video will involve public information that requires scenes to be shot on the road.

Only emergency vehicles and police vehicles will be allowed entry into these roads. Those that are found parking their vehicles there will be towed. Auxiliary police officers will also be present to direct traffic.

Aspiring Islamic Religious Teachers Are To Complete Mandatory Course After Returning From Overseas

The Postgraduate Certificate in Islam in Contemporary Studies (PCICS) is a full-time one-year programme that is compulsory for all aspiring Islamic religious teachers.

The programme serves as a way to help returning Singaporean graduates with contextualising what they have learnt overseas.

Registration for the programme is now open and classes will start April next year. This programme will replace the current four-week Islam in Context course for all returning graduates.
