Four men have been apprehended for allegedly circulating obscene materials in yet another Telegram group.

The four men were aged between 26 and 45 years old and the telegram chat group in question is called, “Sam’s lots of CB collection.” Three out of the four men are understood to be the administrators of the Telegram group.

NTUC Will Increase Retirement and Re-employment Ages in 2021

The National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) will increase the retirement and re-employment age ceiling for workers to 63 and 68 respectively. This will take into effect on 1 January 2021, more than a year earlier than the initial scheduled date.

As of now, 430 workers who have reached their retirement age of 62 in 2021 can postpone their retirement.

Man Who Was Involved In The SkillsFuture Scam & Handled Criminal Proceeds Jailed For 6 Years & 8 Months

A freelance trader who is linked to the $39.9 million SkillsFuture scams was jailed for as long as six years and eight months on Friday for money laundering offences which involved more than $4million.

Vincent Peter, 51 pleaded guilty last month to 12 counts of dealing with the benefits of criminal activities and is the sixth person to be linked to the scam and convicted.

Facebook Apologises After Links To The Independent Singapore Blocked “In Error”

Facebook made an apology on Friday after links to the website of media company The Independent Singapore were blocked. They clarified and have said that it was “an error” and “not an attempt to silence political speech”.

According to The Independent Singapore, posts have been flagged as “spam” or “violating community standards”. However, no further reason or notice was given.

Board Tanker In Singapore Waters Catches Fire Off Pedra Branca

A fire broke out onboard a Panama-flagged tanker in Singapore waters. The crew members were evacuated, according to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) in a statement.
