It ain’t easy being cheesy. Singaporeans love their cheese in all sorts of forms, especially after it is melted and oozing with gooey, rich, creamy goodness. Here are 10 melted cheese recipes that will give you an absolute foodgasm.

Cheese wantons
If you thought soup wantons and fried wantons were good, why not make it even better? Wrap your favourite cheese in a double layer of wanton skin and deep fry it to get a snack that will knock your socks off.

Sriracha Cheese Dip
The perfect dipping sauce for any kind of finger food, this cheese dip is easy to make yet tastes so complex. Melt a bit of butter and saute some spring onions till soft before adding in a bit of minced garlic, Sriracha (thai chilli sauce) to taste and your favourite melting cheese. Once it all mixes together, add milk until you reach your desired consistency.

Garlic cheese bites
Garlic and cheese are best friends, and anything doughy is the perfect vehicle to send the richness into your mouth. Get some ready-mixed pastry dough or better still, country style biscuit dough, and wrap your favourite cheese inside into a small ball. Microwave some butter and minced garlic, and coat your cheese balls with them before rolling them in some parmesan cheese and parsley, and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Allow yourself to roll your eyes backward in ecstasy as they explode in your mouth.

Baked cheese hashbrowns
Upgrade those cheapskate hashbrowns you buy from Fairprice by allowing them to thaw, then mixing them in a baking dish with some cream of chicken soup, shredded Cheddar cheese and onions for some sweetness, before baking the whole thing in the oven until the surface becomes golden brown.

Cheesy potato salad
If you’ve always wondered how restaurants like Aston’s make their tasty potato salad, it is as simple as selecting a potato with a lower starch content like red skin potatoes, and tossing them in mayonnaise, mustard, finely chopped purple onions and spring onions. Make it even better by grating in a sharp cheddar and parmesan cheese while hot and mix until the cheese binds everything together.

Bacon cheese wraps
You’ve had bacon-wrapped asparagus and enoki mushrooms before and absolutely loved it. Why not wrap cheese instead? To hold the cheese in place, cut a slice of bread into quarters and wrap in some cheese before wrapping your bacon around it, then bake, grill or fry until the cheese melts and starts to ooze out from the ends.
