We sometimes hear tragic stories of innocent wild animals dying directly or indirectly due to our careless disposal of rubbish. Unfortunately, these stories seem to crop up more and more these days…
7kg Of Trash Like Used Underwear Found In Dead Deer At Thai National Park
According to Bangkok Post, a wild deer was found dead on 25 November at Khun Sathan National Park. The park is located in the northern Nan province of Thailand.
What’s most disturbing is the fact that the 200kg adult deer’s stomach was stuffed full of 7kg of rubbish.
The rubbish comprised of coffee, packets of instant noodle, plastic bags, rubber gloves, used underwear and plastic rope.
I feel so sad for the poor deer.
Deer Found Dead Had No External Wounds
The animal was found dead and had no external wounds or cuts. It’s estimated to be 135cm tall, 230cm long and over 10 years old.
The deer was then dissected which was when they uncovered all the rubbish lying in the deer’s stomach.
Warning: You’re might be shocked.
And here you can really see that it is indeed 7kg in total.
It was also observed that the deer was thin and had some hair loss. Its hoofs were also not in the best shape.
According to Mothership, the authorities said that it most likely passed away due to both gastrointestinal obstruction and old age.
The deer was also put under a toxicological examination and further forensic examination, hence the body was transported to a veterinary research centre in Lampang province.
