Look out Koi, you’ve got some serious competition from the Land of a Thousand Smiles. The growing number of Thai Iced Milk Tea shops popping up all over the island is a sign of its increasing popularity.
If you’re getting bored of the usual bubble milk tea, here are some of the best Thai Iced Milk Teas to try in Singapore.

Soi 55
Named after Sukhumvit Soi 55, a street known for its exciting nightlife and cafe culture, the store started out at a food centre and has since opened a branch at The Cathay. Their milk tea tastes quite similar to the ones in Thailand although it is tweaked to suit local tastebuds.

Cha Tra Mue
Previously known as Nam’s Brewing Thai Tea and Coffee, the shop has rebranded themselves. Their iconic tall cups cleverly uses the design of the famous “Number One Brand” Thai tea. Their milk teas have the right levels of sweetness, milkiness and ice and quite popular among the office executives working nearby.

Tuk Tuk Cha
Originally located at Suntec City, it now has a few branches island-wide. They import their tea leaves from Thailand and also offer a selection of desserts such as the Shibuya Toast. Their milk tea has a distinct tea scent and is not overly sweet. We also recommend that you give their Thai Green Milk Tea a try.

Cha Thai
If you like your milk tea to have that bitter aftertaste from the tea leaves, you’ll like the ones from Chai Thai. The shop uses four different types of tea leaves so you can be sure to have a thick and creamy cup of milk tea.

Cafe Pal
This is a milk tea that will be liked by the general masses. The drink leans more to the milky side, not too sweet and smooth. You can also choose to add on extra toppings such as pearls, sago and homemade grass jelly.

Rochor Thai
Their tea leaves are sourced from a small family run plantation in the Chanthaburi province. The resulting milk tea does not give you the bitter aftertaste.

Loaves Me
Located in Singapore Management University (SMU), the cafe is popular among the students. Their milk tea has a strong tea taste and is rather smooth. Pair it with their signature Shibuya Toast for a sugar rush.

New Udon Mookata
At $1.50, this is perhaps one of the cheapest Thai ice milk tea in Singapore. The drink is prepared from scratch upon ordering (much like in a kopitiam) and has a whole lot of ice. Nonetheless, it is smooth, creamy and satisfying for a hot day.
