Just like our smartphones, we need to recharge our bodies despite clocking in a decent 7-hour sleep.

And no, I am not talking about guzzling down a hot cuppa or the miracle drink that might or might not give you a pair of wings.

All these energy drinks are loaded with sugar and they will give you energy (like they promised), but for a short period of time and soon you will be back in square one.

To fight fatigue, you have to give your body natural food that will provide you with a steady supply of energy throughout the day or long enough to withstand your boss’ berating.

Sometimes you can experience fatigue when you consume food that is high in GI, causing your blood sugar to skyrocket and subsequently dip.

To avoid that, it is best to consume food that is low in GI and oatmeal is one them.

Made up of complex carbohydrates, it takes your body a longer time to digest, giving you a steady source of energy.

And it is also loaded with energy-dense nutrients such as phosphorus and magnesium

And if you find oatmeal too bland, you can jazz it up with fruits and peanut butter and you will have a glorious dessert.
